Mission

The Mission of the WSA World Skating Association LLC. is to manage, serve, and promote the sport of jam skating to the world. Our job is to assist skaters from all levels of skating, from beginners to coaches, to become involved in the sport.

About WSA

The WSA World Skating Association is the sanctioning body for the sport of jam skating. Jam Skating is defined as break or hip hop dancing on roller skates. The WSA is the leader in promoting and organizing events for the sport. We have been hosting competitions since September of 2003.

Our company is owned and operated by Chuck Best. Chuck has been in the roller skating industry for over 25 years. He has been hosting events and competitions since 1999 for the sport of jam skating. Jam Skating is simply defined as breakdancing on roller skates. He started the WSA as a way to help build jam skating to new areas of the United States. The sport of jam skating has since since grown nationally across the United States.

The operational end of the organization has been ran by Marc Pyche. Marc has over 35 years of experience in the roller skating industry. In 2003, He wrote the first ever judges rules and guidelines manual for jam skating competition. These rules have been implemented into the WSA’s judging system. That judges system has proven to be the most accurate form of judging for the sport of jam skating.

WSA hopes to bring new skaters to our organization over the upcoming years. We have recently teamed up with Chris Gehret from Jamskate.com to establish a JamSkate Academy. The WSA will work alongside the Jamkate Academy to organize teaching methods to help grow the sport. Our goal is to certify coaches across the United States. These coaches will help host more events and train new skaters to compete at our events.

We are looking towards the future with the WSA. We are the leader in our industry and have worked to be where we are today. WSA has taken jam skating to the next level over the past 7 years. We are currently trying to strengthen our sport by using what we have learned in the past. We hope to use our old ideas while making new ones to strengthen our organization.
